CardTest is a free software used to diagnose flash cards such as CF, SD, MMC, xD, etc through a card reader or slot. Since version 1.2a, CardTest supports scanning RAW filesystem for lost JPEG images.
CardTest can be used for:
1. determine if a flash card is effective. (eg, whether it has some bad sectors on it)
2. determine the performance of a flash card, including writing and reading speed at different file sizes.
3. inspect the RAW data on the flash card, and enable experts to make modifications of it. (usable if you try to fix the filesystem)
4. report flash card drive information, including maker name, model name, firmware version, total capacity, surplus capacity and much more.
5. support retrieve lost JPEG images on your falsh card.
6. erase data on your card securely. (no possiblity to recover any files)
